The Church of the Atonement will be hosting the Annual Blessing of the Pets on Sunday, October 7 at 12:15pm on the north lawn.
We are grateful to Mother Erika who will deliver the blessings for your furry loved ones. Well-behaved pets are invited to attend the 11 am Mass.

A.C.T. Group hosts 5th Annual Shred Event & Fundraiser, September 22
The A.C.T. Group, 6228 N. Broadway, will be hosting the 5th Annual Shred Event, Saturday, September 22, from 9:00am-12:00noon.
Anyone can bring items to shred but everyone must make a contribution to benefit Care for Real. Monetary donations (cash or checks) are preferred but The A.C.T. Group will accept food donations. Food must be non-perishable and must NOT be expired.
This year, The A.C.T. Group are giving away awesome H2go 17oz Force water bottles to anyone donating $100 or more (cash or check). Check it out below!
Edgewater Beach Garden Association supports Care for Real!
The garden plots are flourishing with greens and herbs and our friends and supporters at the Edgewater Beach Garden Association (EBGA) will start harvesting beans, cucumbers and tomatoes soon.
Special thanks to the folks at Gethsemane who donated all of the soil enhancers, plants and seeds for the two garden plots that Edgewater Beach Garden Association (EBGA) maintains. Because of their generosity, the EBGA was able to plant both plots AND have a bit left over for a fall planting.

CFR participates in the Annual Edgewater Yard Sale 2018
In conjunction with this Saturday’s, June 2, Annual Edgewater Yard Sale 2018, Care for Real will have a table at The Edgewater Beach Apartments, 5555 North Sheridan Rd, 9:00am-4:00pm.
We will be seeking donations for our hand crafted tote bags and one of our longtime volunteers and seamstresses will be on site!
PACK the CAR hosts Martinis That Matter, Sun. May 20
Our friends at Pack the Car will be hosting the popular Martinis that Matter Sunday, May 20th at Marty’s, 1511 West Balmoral, in Andersonville.
Proceeds from all martinis sold from 2:00pm-5:00pm benefit Care for Real!

Annual Formalwear Drive kicks off!
Care for Real is accepting donations of formal wear to distribute in our Annual Prom Drive.
Formal wear will be available to clients in our Clothing Closet April 16-May 12 on a first come, first serve basis.
Donations of gently used, clean formal wear will be collected at the upcoming Northside Wedding Expo in Care for Real branded bins, or at the rear of the building during our donation hours:
